Natural Angus chooses producers whose herds meet our
criteria for genetic composition and whose management
style is compatible with our program. All of our producers
raise their cattle on the open range with environmentally
sound practices. We will work with you to manage your
calves under the following program specifications:
- We
only buy cattle that are no less than 50% Angus.
- They
need to be raised in a humane, unconfined manner in
accordance with the Certified Humane Raised & Handled
- They
can receive no subtherapeutic antibiotics, synthetic
hormones, or synthetic growth promotants. lonophores
such as Bovatec, Rumensin and Cattlyst are classified
as an antibiotic and cannot be fed.
- If
they receive therapeutic treatment they need to be identified
by ear tag.
- They
can be fed only natural feed and rations such as grass
pasture, legume pasture, hay, grain silage, grains and
pellets made from grains or grasses.
- Before
we take delivery you will need to administer to them
all precondition vaccinations.
- They
need to be delivered to us in good condition, free of
any disease.
- We
will need to be allowed to periodically visit your cattle
premises to inspect and test the cattle and the feed
for chemical residue
