HONEY MUSTARD-GLAZED MEYER STEAKS WITH GRILLED ONIONS


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 9 to 12 minutes, direct method

    • 2 well-trimmed boneless Meyer Beef Top Loin steaks, cut 1 in. thick **
    • 1/3 cup coarse-grain or regular Dijon-style mustard
    • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
    • 1 1/2 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon each cider vinegar and water
    • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
    • 1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
    • 1 large onion cut into 1/2 inch thick slices

     

    ** Recipe may also be prepared using 1-pound well trimmed boneless Meyer Beef Sirloin steak cut 1 inch thick

Combine mustard, parsley, honey, vinegar, water, pepper sauce and pepper. Place the Meyer beef steaks and onion slices on the grill over medium coals; brush both sides liberally with the glaze. Grill steaks and onions 9 to 12 minutes for rare (140° F) to medium (160° F), turning once and again brushing with glaze.
